Android 5.1.1 update comes to certain Nexus devices

Google was found busy pushing the updated version of its latest Android operating system, the Android Lollipop, to its devices one by one. As Google makes ready its Android Lollipop 5.1.1 version for many of the stock Android Nexus models.

For some of the phone and tablet models it has made available the OTA update and also posted the factory image for Android v5.1.1. The devices which were recently selected to receive the OTA update were the Nexus 4 and the Nexus 5. Factory image for both handsets is also posted which is available for users flash it on their devices.

After the LG manufactures Nexus 4 and the Nexus 5 now Google has also moved to the HTC branded Nexus devices. As it has now rolled out both the OTA update and the factory image for the LTE version of HTC manufactured Nexus 9 tablet.

Apart from the OTA updates for many new devices, factory image is posted for many other devices that already have the OTA updates but had not yet got the factory image. Therefore the factory image is now available there for all those Nexus users who have customized their devices and want to return to the latest of the Android Lollipop. After flashing the recently out factory imager on your device, you can get the restored software.

Along with these there is also a little for the Asus manufactured Nexus 7 tablet. The tablet available in both cellular and Wi-Fi options have already got the factory image posted on the developer’s official website. Nexus 7 in both options is not set to receive the Android Lollipop 5.1.1 OTA update.
