Google is now ready to bring another device the Android One for the smartphone users in the Indian market. According to reports published in Economic Times the device which is said to be Google’s Android One will land in India on 14th of this month. The device is also to set at an affordable price at NR 12,000 which stands equivalent to $190.
The details by Economic Times also show the Lava, a local company from India, is tasked to manufacture the device for Indian users. Considering the first batch of the Android One devices they were not authorized to the Indian manufacturers.
The vendors from India were kept away from designing and development of the earlier Android Ones. But for fresh Android One due in India, both Indian Lava and the MediaTek are reported to take part in development in collaboration. The MediaTek contribution we will see on its chipset which powers the Android One with 2GB or RAM of 5 inches.
Though Android One has been good in some markets but India don’t listed among those. The device has faced a tough time in India since its launch and recorded a not much convincing sale record. There can be very reasons for the disappointing demand and following sale in Indian for the Android One. The unavailability of the Android One in the retails stores in the Indian market is mostly termed as the reasons for short demand. The device was reportedly missing out from shelves in mostly retail store which limited its exposure to India users.
These and certain other reasons are logical enough to be dealt with as the search giant moves forward in to dynamic markets like India. As Google has lined up Indian venders for the upcoming Android One we may see an improvement in the way it is sold out. Google may use all available channels to ensure availability of Android One in Indian market.
