Apple unveiled its so called “Huge for developers, Massive for everyone else” Operating System the iOS 8, expected with the new iPhone 6 which is set to launch on 9 September. The Beta 4 version of the new iOS was made available only to the registered Apple developers on 21 July.
The iOS 8 is said to be the biggest release of Apple since the launch its App Store. It was first showed off at Apple Worldwide Developers Conference WWDC on June 2 in San Francisco. The new iOS is expected to cure the disappointments of iPhone users with iOS 7 which came in multiple beta versions. The new Simpler and faster iOS got many new features like iCloud Photo Library, Interactive Notification, managing emails, Group messaging and The QuickType keyboard.
Apple says that the current iPhone owners will enjoy the new iOS by free upgrade. Most of the current iPhone models including iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, and iPhone 5s are said compatible with the new iOS, although the eager users with old iPhone may have to wait for the free upgrade, which would be available after the release of iPhone 6.
‘Health’ and ‘HealthKit’ is the new health and fitness app by Apple as it was much expected which gathers info then puts all those in a single interface. To replace your Doctor, Apple is working with leaders in healthcare apps. Unlike current iPhone the new iPhone 6 is equipped with sensors to monitor heart rate, blood pressure and other such metrics.
iCloud with the feature of Drive and Photo Library with its smart editing tools let the users to store, access and edit the documents, photos and videos on any device along with smart editing tools.
With iOS 8 up to six individual Apple IDs can be set up to make a family sharing to get automatic photo stream, calendars along with the features of share purchases and parental control for the child downloading stuffs.
