Apple’s much anticipated event is currently happening. Tim Cook is smashing the ceremony with one after another important announcements. What surprised us most is the unexpected announcement of Apple Carekit. Apple’s new Carekit or the research kit is basically a software framework.
It has been designed to help developers to allow the normal iPhone users to oversee their medical conditions with the help of the Smartphone’s Carekit. The kit makes it a lot easier to keep an eye on all the health plans and to monitor the symptoms and medications with ease. The kit will also provide the users with all the data that will let them understand their health very easily. With the ability to share information with doctors, nurses or family members, CareKit apps help people take a more active role in their health.
Apple’s new Carekit framework will be properly released next month in order to enable all the developers to design the first four modules as demanded by the Apple. The important features include;
It will help people to track their own individual care plan and other essentials. It includes medication taking and completing the physical therapies etc. All the activities will be easily tracked using the sensors in iPhone and Apple watch.
Symptom And Measurement Tracker:
It lets all the users record their symptoms and their every day feelings. Similarly, the progress would be updated with the help of simple surveys, pictures which will describe the wounds or other activities as recorded by your iPhone.
The dashboard will collect all the symptoms and the data against the action items in the Care Card to easily show how treatments are working.
Lastly, Connect will help the people to easily share their information with the Doctors, family members and care teams so the others’ are updated about any change in the health conditions.
Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operating officer said on the occasion of the launch;
“We’re thrilled with the profound impact ResearchKit has already had on the pace and scale of conducting medical research, and have realized that many of the same principles could help with individual care. We believe that giving individuals the tools to understand what is happening with their health is incredibly powerful, and apps designed using CareKit make this a reality by empowering people to take a more active role in their care.”
Let’s see what more Apple has in store for us at this exclusive event. We will have to wait a month to see if this Carekit fare well or not.
