‘Budget’ iPhone — Apple iPhone 5c Specifications

Apple iPhone 5c Specifications

Apple expends its range to the more affordable phones with its iPhone 5C. Though it’s not cheap to come in the range of budget phones, but with its slightly lower prices, it deviates from the premium range of iPhones which were marked as being the highest in the prices.

The new iPhone 5C was launched with metal body and polycarbonate body which is different from the latest flagship iPhone 6 models of Apple which came with the premium materials.

It is the sole model in the mid-range with no rivals from the Androids. It comes with the starting prices at $549 for its SIM-free 16GB model. It also comes with the Apple tradition of no misro-SD slot, so you have to pay more if you want to go from 16GB to 32GB where it will be available at $100 additional cost.

It has managed to down its cost by following the old technique of ditching the glass and aluminum body. Like the every handset of Apple we have seen since the iPhone 4, with slightly lower prices the iPhone 5C also observe the same to reduce its prices. It gets back to the polycarbonate as it was used in the iPhone 3GS.

Apple had its branded accessories especially its range of colorful skins which will give the iPhone 5C additional color and grip. Still Apple continued its fashion of pricing by keeping these cases at $29. It’s relatively very costly as there are alternatives from third party manufacturers, available at lower price. The third party cases, skins and other protection come with more colors and varieties which may down the use of Apple branded cases.

There is a centralized lightening port on the base of iPhone 5C along with the left aligned headphone jack. Its mono speakers are there to blast your tunes and give you the more sophisticated speakerphone conversation. With its all stuff on the left-hand it has left the right side for the SIM card. It supports the tiny nano-SIM card, unlike the most smartphones that use microSIMs. You can get a nano-SIM from your network provider to support your shiny iPhone 5C.

With its slightly less prices, it comes with 4-inch display with a usual display being the 1136 x 640 Retina available with the A6 processor. It has the camera at back with 8MP and on front with1.9 MP along with Bluetooth 4.0. It is also 4G enabled, though it supports more bands which mean that it will work with more networks around the world.
