Pangu released a jailbreak for iOS 9.1 for Windows and Mac just yesterday. Now, the company is also deciding to release a compatible Apple TV 4 jailbreak for lucky Apple TV 4 users too. Pangu Team has confirmed that a jailbreak solution for the Apple’s tvOS-powered fourth-generation set-top box is underway.
When the jailbreak for the Apple TV 4 will be released, it will be a first public jailbreak launch ever made for tvOS and Apple TV 4. This new step will open doors to many new functions and possibilities.
Apple TV 4 already has an App Store for all the officially supported apps. It also has an official side loadable option for those apps that Apple doesn’t approve. Meanwhile, the addition of jailbreak will still be helpful. The new possibility will permit customizing the interface and adding new features which wouldn’t be possible without a jailbreak.
The Pangu team officially said that;
“We will release jb for Apple TV4(9.0.x) next week which only has SSH access. It’s mainly for security researchers and jailbreak developers.”
The significant news here is that the Apple TV 4 jailbreak will be available for tvOS 9.0.x only. The latest tvOS 9.1, 9.1.1 and the upcoming tvOS 9.2 won’t support the underway Pangu jailbreak. If you are one of those who love jailbreaking or want to enjoy its benefits on your Apple TV 4 do not update your plan for the upcoming tvOS. In case you update, you won’t be able to take the advantage out of Pangu’s recent edition.
Apple has not yet said anything about the story and we don’t have any official statement yet, may be because the Cupertino team is quite busy in war with FBI. The Apple TV 4 jailbreak is not live yet. We will alert you as soon as it goes up. Stay on the website to know more about the details!
