Asus has been the pioneer of the mobile devices that combine smartphone and larger screen tablet together. This time it has added up a new device in its PadFone lineup. The new Asus PadFone S comes with the PadFone S Station which holds the phone at its back slot. This brings together the portability of Asus smartphone and the big screen of tablet in a single price. It also gives you the option to use the PadFone s as a separate smartphone or a tablet with its S Station.

The Operating System on the PadFone S is Android 4.4 KitKat. Along with the features of KitKat it also provides you the experience of the ZenUI overlays. This addition on Android user interface give users the unique Asus looks. Along with the impressive internal overlay the external design of PadFone S is also made simple and light with its own feels. It is measured at 150g in weight and 143.93 x 72.46 x 9.98mm in its dimensions.

The PadFone S comes with 5-inch full HD display, Micro SIM card and LTE support. The 5-inch display on PadFone S is an IPS with LED backlight which has the resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. While it’s PadFone S Station has an 8.9-inch IPS display which offers 1920 x 1200 pixel resolutions.

The Asus PadFone S is also powered with high end hardware specs to make it internally powerful. The processer on this PadFone is a quad-core CPU on Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, clocked at 2.3GHz. It is also coupled with 2GB of RAM.

Similar to its hardware specs the camera on rear is perfectly made powerful while the front remains to be average. It is a 13-megapixel on rear and 2-megapixel on front. Its camera is also equipped with LED flash on back. The PadFone S Station also got its separate 1-megapixel camera on front while for rear it uses the camera of its smartphone on the dock.

The battery on this smartphone is non-removable 2300mAh battery while the Station includes a 4990mAh battery that gives it a larger capacity of battery power.
