First complete prototype for Google self driving car project

Google on Monday released first image of its self driving car of what it calls its “first complete prototype. Google declared it as the best holiday gift it could have imagined for the users.

The Google stated in a post on its Google+ page that they have been working on different prototypes, each designed to test different systems of a self-driving car for example, the typical “car” parts like steering and braking, as well as the “self driving” parts like the computer and sensors. They have now put all those systems together in this fully functional vehicle, their first complete prototype for fully autonomous driving.

Early in May 2014, Google revealed self driving car project but on Monday Google declared that vehicle “an early mockup” which did not even have real headlights.

Google said in its blog that it is going to test this new prototype on test track in the holidays and thinking to bring it on the roads of Northern California in the New Year. Google says during the test on the track self driving car will have a human drivers inside it who will use temporary manual controls when it is needed.
