Cyanogen is well known in the smartphone world with its successful custom ROMs and newly introduced OS the CyanogenOS. It has made its way to a large number of Android users who want to have a custom environment into their devices. Though its success doesn’t remain a secret anymore but Cyanogen has recently made some claims that are worth considering. According to Cyanogen the users of its custom ROM are in larger number than the combined users of BlackBerry and Microsoft Phones.
The details made public by Cyanogen state that it has gained over 50 million users in the market. The number is more than the combined number of users running BlackBerry and Windows Phone devices. The claims are yet to be analyzed as they are too tall to believe but Cyanogen provides some strong bases.
Cyanogen‘s success is not only based on the performance of its OS but also on its partnership with considerable smartphone vendors. It has partnered with the key makers that have big number of customers in the larger smartphone markets. For instance, in India it got Micromax in partnership and also brought Microsoft on board. Now Cyanogen is extending the partnership net to ZUK.
The tie between Cyanogen and ZUK is not anything new as we already have the ZUK Z1 that is powered by Cyanogen. Now we have the official stamp on the partnership between two that will bring more devices in coming days. The ZUK is yet new in the Chinese market but seems progressing well with considerable moves.
The partnership is important for ZUK particularly as it sought ways to push its devices into international smartphone arena. The ZUK Z1 is yet the flagship for the company in the mid range market. The device comes with latest Cyanogen OS version over the premium specification. It has also got a good initial review in the market and hopes are high for its performance in other markets too.
