Cyanogen 12 being rolled out for OnePlus One users

Cyanogen 12, which is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop has been started rolling out for the OnePlus One users. Cyanogen announced today that the update is now available for all users including the OnePlus One users in India. The Cyanogen 12 is out just after the OxygenOS was released by OnePlus, the next Android based ROM for the OnePlus One and onwards. Now the latest release of Cyanogen 12 for the OnePlus One users is a bold move by Cyanogen as it is already in partnership with Micromax which lets Micromax use the CM exclusively in India. For the same reasons, OnePlus launched the OxygenOS to save its huge Indian market.

The new features Cyanogen 12 includes are App Themer, Boxer, and ability to include multiple accounts and pre-written replies with support for Exchange. The App Themer will allow the OnePlus users to theme the individual apps as well which means more customization power in the hand of the end user. This will not only open doors for more customization but also will let “you to turn your operating system into your own personal canvas.”

Another cool enhancement is in the area of emails which is powered by Boxer. All OnePlus One users who move to CM 12 will be able to user the premium version of Boxer for free. Which will let them enjoy a complete new email experience which was missing in previous builts like Exchange support, multiple accounts integration, quick replies and different ring bells for different alerts.
