Samsung‘s latest flagship, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, are both water resistant. The feature was initially introduced in the Galaxy S5 smartphone but, when it came to GalaxyS6, Samsung opted for a more premium design, causing the water resistant feature to be eliminated. Now with the Galaxy S7 flagship the company has restored the feature. And the news reports are claiming, that the Galaxy Note 6 will also be water resistant.
The Galaxy Note 6 is expected to come with the IP68 waterproof certification. The same certification comes with the Galaxy S7 devices. With this certification, the S7 devices can stay submerged in water for up to 16 hours and still keep working.
This is very good news for those who are looking forward to the Galaxy Note 6. This isn’t the only new feature that Samsung may have in store of the Galaxy Note 6. According to the same report, Galaxy Note 6 is also rumored to feature an iris scanner. The scanner will be used for unlocking the device, along with other security features.
Recently, 200 pieces of an iris cam have just been seen as listed for Samsung smartphone testing purposes in an import database. This indicated that the rumours about the iris scanner in Galaxy Note 6 might, in fact, be true. If these latest rumors are true than it is expected that the device will be available by the end of July.Initially, the tablet was expected to release a whole year after the Note 5, but by the looks of it, it may actually happen a bit earlier. According to speculation, the Galaxy Note 6 is expected to be unveiled in July.
The Bell, a Korean website, reported Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy Note 6 in mid-July. The device is rumoured to include a 5.8-inch display, and it may feature 6 GB of RAM. Whether the Note 6 will come with Android N out of the box or not is yet unknown.
The Galaxy Note 6’s unveiling is still some time away and it should be noted that everything is mostly rumours and speculation at this point. The final specifications could possibly differ before the phablet’s launch.
