The best change of all is that the new version of the app displays a lot more information on a single screen. The Previous versions of Google Fit almost displayed too little information on the screen leaving giant blank, unused spaces. For instance, Google Fit’s start screen now displays a  quick summary of the total time of activity you performed during that day, the distance you covered, the steps you have taken, and the calories you have burned. The start screen also displays a hint of your daily circle activity completion for the whole week.

There is also new Timeline view in the navigation drawer, it shows you a history of all your activity that you can browse easily. The Goals have also gotten a major overhaul, previously the app only allowed you to set basic goals, but now they have been made a lot more configurable. Goals can now be set  for different activities and specific periods of time. Now, you can even spread goals throughout the day for multiple times.
