HTC‘s latest flagship smartphone, the HTC 10 is highly anticipated this year. The device is all set to be revealed tomorrow. But, the promo video of the HTC 10 has already been leaked before the unveiling. So, you don’t have to wait till tomorrow to see the device.
The promo video features the sleek, beautifully crafted HTC 10. The device has a metal body, and a chamfered back, that adds character to the smartphone. The design of the HTC 10 is similar to that of the HTC One A9. One subtle change in the design is the HTC’s logo, it is different from the one in previous flagships. On the front of the device, there is a single physical button. The button is probably equipped with a fingerprint scanner.
A lock key and a volume rocker are situated on the right side of the device. The USB port is located at the bottom of the smartphone, along with the BoomSound speakers and microphone. Initially named HTC One M10, now the name of the flagship has been changed to just HTC 10.
The HTC 10’s display is rumoured to be a 5.1-inch Super LCD 5 panel. Earlier rumours had indicated that the device would feature a Super AMOLED display. The screen will have QHD 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution, which will ensure a very crisp display.
As far as HTC’s flagship phones are concerned, the company has exclusively powered them with Qualcomm processors. Qualcomm has been recently bragging that the HTC 10 will contain one of its own chipsets. According to rumours, the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 820 Soc and 4GB of RAM. The 820 includes quad-core architecture. This latest chipset was developed through collaborative efforts of Samsung and Qualcomm. The Snapdragon 820 also powers the latest Galaxy S7 and the LG G5 flagships. It is also expected to include a newer version of the HTC Sense Android Skin.
The device will come with 4 GB of RAM. For now, it is unknown if it will allow memory expansion via microSD card.The smartphone will include HTC Sense 7 skin and it will be running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. HTC’s updated skin the Sense 8 is expected to arrive after the launch. Rumours also indicate that the cameras on the HTC 10 will come with 12 MP Ultrapixel sensor, which will be assisted by laser autofocus technology. The company has boasted on Twitter that the HTC 10’s camera will be “World First, World Class” camera. HTC 10 is speculated to carry a price point of around $600.
