Latest OnePlus 2 OS Update brings raw photos support, still no Android M

OnePlus 2 owners’, there is happy news for you! You are all soon going to receive the recent spiced-up version of OxygenOS. The new update to the previous OS has been brought, titled as 2.2.1. The OxygenOS is considered to be the new Smartphone manufacturers own version of the popular Android OS. And, we didn’t doubt that either. Even if this OS doesn’t stand out for the traditional race, it is worth having for.

The previous renditions of OxygenOS brought along with them some bugs and lags which needed fixtures. So, initially, we expect to get a highly rich update to fix them all. However, the update designers have something near to an excellent addition to all the OS users. It is a novel camera feature called as RAW photography support.

Those people who are photographers or are passionate about the Smartphone photography will already know what RAW photography support for Smartphones means. As for the ignorant, it is a full representation of the image captured by the camera sensor. So, you now got to know where the name for the feature came from. Hence, the other formats of the mobile photography compress the images and make them smaller or miniature in some cases. This new format helps in keeping the actual image, intact.

What’s more is that the RAW feature by OxygenOS 2.2.1 is significant in case you want to edit your pictures using specialized software. You won’t have to deal with any compression generated barriers or obstructions while dealing with the editing of images.

Coming to the recent OxygenOS 2.2.1 update, apart from the RAW photo feature, it will also rectify all the other bugs that used to irritate users and shuffled around different other applications. The most notably affected apps include Image Corruption, Bluetooth and Ultra SIM compatibility. In addition to these, some very well-known security bugs hindering the promised safety will also be fixed.

It remains to be noted that the OygenOS is currently focusing on improving the photography experience of its users.  With the previous OxygenOS 2.2.0 update and the recent one, OnePlus 2 camera received a manual mode and support for RAW photography. Both of these features are highly aimed at photography lovers and hence the current youth. This is why the OS updated to attract the general audience.

It is good and applauding for OnePlus to introduce such crispy changes to the software through attractive upgrades. Additionally, introducing the RAW photography update to the “second-gen flagship killer” would be critical for the popularity of the company and concerned. However,  the manufacturer previously said that OnePlus 2 owners should expect a Marshmallow update by the end of Q1 2016, which ends in 27 days. But, we haven’t seen any such addition so far.
