LG G5 confirmed for unveiling on February 21 at MWC 2016


LG finally puts an end to the speculations by confirming that the LG G5 will join the show at Mobile World Conference 2016. The upcoming LG flagship has been discussed a number of times as the MWC 2016 is set to bring some key devices in the smartphones market.


Recently there have been rumors and leaks from various sources and also some hints by LG about the upcoming LG G5. Confirming the rumors LG has started sending out invitations for its event, scheduled on February 21, in the line of events with MWC 2016 mega show.

The MWC 2016 launch of LG G5 will be coupled with much anticipated devices by Samsung, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Plus. Therefore, the LG G5 is expected to face a tough time making its place against devices by Samsung and others. LG has reportedly planned for this with some major upgrades on the G5 that will help it against key upcoming smartphones.

According to some earlier rumors the LG G5 is going to target the premium segment of the smartphone market. While some other rumors on the base of its launching time suggested that the LG G5 is aimed at directly competing with Samsung Galaxy S7. Both the Galaxy S7 and the LG G5 are going to launch on the same day.

Considering the rumored details, the LG G5 is going to arrive in all-metal body and would be the first LG flagship with a slightly curved design. The device will be a large one with display size either 5.5-inch or 5.6-inch as suggested by some. With a large display panel and 1440×2560 pixels resolution the display results will be much improved.

Under the hood the LG G5 is expected with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Chipset with up to 4G RAM. Besides these a fingerprint reader and dual camera are also suggested on the upcoming LG G5.
