The virtual assistant service is not only improved for the Windows Phone but also the Windows 10 PC brought it to the desktop. However Microsoft seems determined to expend the Cortana over cross platforms. Right now Cortana is running over company’s own Windows and Google’s Android OS and the next is the Apple iOS.
According to reports Microsoft is now stretching its arms to Apple iOS users with the private beta of the Cortana. However it is yet work in progress, it may go through a little lengthy procedure before it arrives publicly. Microsoft is also offering the public beta but in a limited edition. Those who want to try out the Public beta of Cortana for iOS needs to apply for it. The details on the Microsoft community Forum are as below:
In the spirit of the Windows Insider Program, we’re looking for a limited number of people to get their hands on an early version of the app. It’s important to keep in mind that this is the first public release of the Cortana for iOS beta. And that for now, Cortana for iOS is only available in the U.S. and China. Over the coming months, we’ll continue to deliver frequent updates to the app to expand the features and functionality.
After registrations and filling the short survey there are chances that you may get one. The details are short that were posted on the community page. It farther says that in this stage the project is aimed to allow a limited number of interested customers to have their hands on the first version of Cortana for iOS.
Such lucky guys are again limited to the US and China. According to the details the first Cortana for iOS in its beta version is only available for iOS users in both selected markets. But things would not remain same any longer, as there are hints pointed toward new updates in the features and extended availability.
However there is yet a long way to go, it’s just beginning and many of the nice features and the basic ones actually are not present on the beat. But Microsoft has already stated aligning its services with Apple’s iOS. This has already opened ways for many popular features and services like Cortana and others.
