Microsoft has introduced an entry level Nokia 215 and Nokia 215 Dual-SIM with built-in Facebook Messenger
Nokia 215 and Nokia 215 Dual-SIM will be available for $29 only and it will have Facebook and Messenger pre-installed. Microsoft announced about the “Most affordable Internet-ready entry level phone” on its Lumia Blog calling it perfect for first time mobile buyers or as a secondary phone.
While we talked about the story of new Lumia 1330, going to launch soon, the first phablet with the Microsoft brand name, the new Nokia 215 set will come with Nokia brand name on it. You will be able to use Twitter and Opera Mini will be available for web browsing.
While talking of design and specifications, it is a true entry-level cell phone with a Bluetooth headset and speaker. Equipped with 1100 mAh removable battery, the new Nokia 215 will give 29 days stand-by time and upto 20 hours of talk time. The 2G enabled handset will although not support fast browsing because of the lack of 3G and 4G but we should not expect it in an entry-level phones either.
With 2.4 inch display, it has 320 X 240 screen resolution with 166 ppi pixel density. With 8 GB RAM, it will support upto 32 GB memory card and you can use micro-SD card with it as well. It has 0.3 MP main camera with fixed focus and ability to zoom ‘2 x’.
The other features of Nokia 215 and Nokia 215 Dual-Sim are its built-in MP3 player and FM radio. You can listen up to 50 hours playback on your Nokia 215 set. It has a built-in torch as well.
Like we discussed earlier, Microsoft is focusing on emerging markets for its Mobile phones, the Nokia 215 and Nokia 215 Dual-SIM will also be launched in Asia, Africa and Middle eastern markets first and then in Europe in the first quarter of 2015.
