While Microsoft has taken over the mobile department of Nokia and now started launching smartphone with its own branding, Nokia has also prepared to keep its brand in the market with the launch of its Android running Nokia N1 tablet. And now it is going to jump in the market on January 7.
As the current new emerged from China, Nokia is said hosting a press event on 7th of January. On the same day it is also expected to launch the N1 tablet in Chinese market. Nokia has already made an announced in November while unveiling its N1 tablet, that it is going to release its Android tablet in Chinese market in the first quarter of 2015. Current developments are clearly leading us toward this. It is also going to launch earlier than initial expectation which were focused on February 19.
Nokia has also revealed much information about specs and prices of its upcoming tablet. As par current reports the N1 launching on 7th of January will be available in Chinese market initially at $249. This price make it quite an affordable tablet with some nice offering. We might see a bigger launch of Nokia N1 on the day but it was officially announced by Nokia to first lend in China. However if other markets are not on the same pace still they will soon be receiving them, probably in the first quarter of 2015.
The Nokia N1 is also the first Nokia tablet that is going to load Android operating system. It will be a nice surprise to see the combination of Nokia and Android in a tablet. Also it will run the latest and amazing Android 5.0 Lollipop with Nokia Z launcher.
With the fresh experience of updated Android Lollipop, Nokia N1 offers some nice specs. It contain a 7.9-inch screen with 2,048×1,536 pixel resolution. Internally there is an Intel Atom Z3580 chipset with a 2.3 GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM. It is also good in internal storage that stands at 32GB without any external storage option. Also there you can find a 5,300 mAh battery. The camera is also made truly powerful with 8 megapixels at rear and 5 megapixels on front.
