Passport with BlackBerry Assistant Voice Command

The new flagship smartphone of BlackBerry comes with BlackBerry Assistant, the new voice command service. It comes with the new operating System OS 10.3 update in its recently launched Passport and Porsche Design P’9983. The new enterprise software has a bench of new features.

The new voice command software on the BlackBerry Passport allows you to manage your work and personal email, contacts, BBM, calendar and other native BlackBerry 10 applications through both voice and type commands. It is also optimized to execute tasks quickly in any situation. The Assistant is also integration in a great way with BlackBerry Hub, Calendar and Contacts.

With this new feature BlackBerry has joined the race of voice command perfection software, competing with Apple’s Siri which was incorporated in Apples iOS 8 as one of the distinct features. It also comes in competition with Google in its Google Now and the Microsoft with its Cortana .

Blackberry’s voice-based virtual assistant, will debut first on the Passport smartphone, that has been already unveiled but still not release for the costumers. The new smartphone will be available with the 10.3 OS.

Unlike Apple’s Siri which is activated by ‘hy siri’ command, the it has followed the google now. The BlackBerry Assistant interface shows a microphone in a screen circle, similar with what already google has used in its Google Now. The service is started by pressing the circle at the screen of the Passport and giving voice commands.

The flagship smartphone of BlackBerry also has a Physical key board which as a good advantage for the BlackBerry Assistant. The physical keyboard lets the user to perform actions by typing directly from the home screen. It’s very similar to Palm’s Just Type implementation, which let you post tweets, send messages, search the web, and more without ever going into a specific app.
