When is Your Phone Getting Android Lollipop?

The most common question of the smartphone users these days is when will their phone get Android Lollipop update? Google first introduced Android Lollipop at its I/O 2014 and since then we have long been awaiting for an entirely new design Android OS. The most annoying drawback with Android updates, is its timely availability for the older Android version handsets. Despite the Google Nexus handsets get the latest version of Android as soon as it is released, this is not the case with others. All other brands including Samsung, Sony, LG and hTC provide the updates to their users too late and that is why Apple compared its new iOS 8 adoption to Android Kitkat adoption and their was a big difference!

But Most of major smartphone companies have taken a bit longer to get new Android lollipop onto their latest devices. The delay of getting Android by these companies is because of the compatibility reasons and they want to test it on their hardware first. The idea of testing Android Lollipop on their hardware first is to add their own flavor via UI overlays while integrating new system features and designs. Quite a few manufacturers, Samsung, LG and HTC, have already announced to update Android Lollipop or we have seen leaked software builds pictured online.
