Samsung Galaxy devices to get Android Lollipop update this January

We have been hearing for the past several weeks that Android 5.0 Lollipop is coming to Samsung devices. During the past few weeks we have seen a number of rumors about Android 5.0 Lollipop coming to the Galaxy S5 in small regions outside the United States, but new leaked have surfaced for those in the US as well. Finally in 2015 the Samsung devices would begin to get a Lollipop taste.

An unknown Samsung employee revealed that Samsung devices will get Android 5.0 Lollipop in January 2015. Unnamed person who claimed to be Samsung employee leaked an email in which Samsung wrote that it will have to start preparing its devices for Google’s Android 5.0 Lollipop update next month. If it is true it will not be too surprising because it is only a matter of time before Samsung announces it officially.

Last year Samsung rolled out Android 4.4.4 KitKat updates for the Galaxy S5 and also for many of its popular Galaxy devices. And when KitKat is still continuing the company has already moved forward and is preparing for Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Earlier we have seen plenty of videos of Android 5.0 Lollipop for the Galaxy S5. Before releasing it for major markets around the globe, Samsung updated the Lollipop update to the Galaxy S5 in Spain and Poland. So it will not be surprising to see the update spread to the United States and other regions within next month.

Preliminary leaks and rumors gave us an idea that the Galaxy S5 Android 5.0 update would come sometime in 2014, but with the year came to an end it is looking like the owners were waiting for 2015. Though It looks that, the wait will not be long as leaked documents from a Samsung employee have confirmed they will start in early January.
