Samsung Galaxy S6 fails to appeal Customers to buy?

Samsung’s claims of market success and its good impression in the Smartphone market aside, a recent report exposes unexpected reduction in its sale. Oppenheimer, a firm which deals with investment banking recently mentioned it to its clients that the Korean giant is facing an internal loss with its latest devices performing less than expectations.

According to the Oppenheimer, the shipment of Samsung Galaxy S6 was recording just 10 million this year. This is one million less as compared to last year’s shipment. For the same period last year, the company has achieved 11 million shipment of its Galaxy S5.

These details are quite disappointing for Samsung as it has claimed redesigning of its flagship with several key changes. Samsung has also anticipated a surge in the sale of its high end Smartphone this year. This down sale will effect company’s position as compared to the key competitor Apple which has ruled the market with its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Apple has brought its two market wining smartphones the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus. Both devices not only claim a high sale but also offered a tough time for other competing devices with their specifications and other services. It has also increased the screen size of its iPhone. After this addition the iPhone 6 plus comes in face off with the big devices by Samsung.

This downward performance of Samsung flagship was most evidently recorded in Chinese Smartphone market. Samsung has been the largest player in the Chinese smartphone market by claiming 20% of shipments. Now the shipment of Samsung in China has dropped to 10% as Apple takes lead to clinch the top position and Xiaomi and other small companies are capturing the smartphone market.

According to the analysis by Oppenheimer this downward performance is mostly due to Samsung’s strategies which are mostly focused on the hardware while keeping the software without any improvement.
