Samsung Galaxy S7 to have an iPhone 6S like Live Photo feature

Apple introduced the interesting feature of Live Photos with its latest iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. Following the appreciating response it got in the smartphone market, many other vendors are now expected to copy it. And it is not beyond the possibilities that you will find the upcoming Samsung flagship with the same feature, but with different name.

Samsung Galaxy S7 features

The feature is really nice as it brings life to the captured stills. The Live Photos feature actually records the moment one and half seconds before and after pressing the shutter. This makes the picture multi framed and gives you real life photo in action.

It is not the first time for Apple introducing the features that got adopted by other key names in the market. According to a fresh report Samsung is now planning to include the feature into its upcoming flagship smartphone. As we have been discussing the upcoming devices in the Samsung portfolio, the next to expect is the Galaxy S7. Therefore you may expect the Live Photos lookalike feature on the upcoming Galaxy S7.

There are also reports suggesting that the features is being developed for the Galaxy S7 but other speculations suggest that the feature might not be ready when the Galaxy S7 starts shipping. In such case the Galaxy S7 might receive the feature later in the form of software update. According to recent reports the Galaxy S7 is almost ready for launch which will be unveiled next month during company’s unpacked event. Samsung has its unpacked event scheduled for February 21, just a day before the MWC 2016.

The Live Photos feature is reported to be named as Vivid Photo or Timeless Photo on the Samsung devices. Besides the name change the Samsung version will also not be including audios. There are some other minor changes expected too which will hopefully be cleared soon.
