Every year, now it has become more than a news for tech lovers to see the news of the success of latest iPhone and the rumors regarding the next Samsung Galaxy device. This year is not an exception when we are getting the news about the success of iPhone 6S and 6S Plus and now we have started getting the leaked information regarding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge which will be released in the first quarter of the next year.
Expected Samsung Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge Specifications
Following the reports released recently we came to know that Samsung is mulling use of both native and Qualcomm chipset in its future device. The device on the list is supposed to be the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge that will represent company’s new selection of chipset. From native parts Samsung has set the currently ruling Exynos 8890 while from Qualcomm’s side we have the upgraded Snapdragon 820.
Though there have been some reports out in this regard but without confirmation, Samsung kept things in doubt. Fresh reports show engineers from Samsung are working in close ties with Qualcomm team. Both teams are working jointly for the next-gen 14nm production of Qualcomm and to fine tune Snapdragon 820 for upcoming Galaxy S7.
The arrival of Qualcomm’s upgraded Snapdragon chipset is strongly believed to load on the Galaxy S7 but the role of native chipset is also not excluded. Thus the main confusion remains with the Exynos instead of Snapdragon chipset for the Galaxy S7. It is also not clear that if company is going to bring both chipsets then how much of native Exynos will be used.
This has been made a little clear by a report in the Korean media that shows the company to changing the track from the Galaxy S6. As we have observed with the Galaxy S6 the device was exclusive with the Exynos chipset. But, according to the reports, with the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge the company is going to involve both chipsets in equal ratio.
There have also been some reports recently that showed the Snapdragon 820 Chipset specific for Galaxy S7 in the US. These speculations were made on the base of integrated LTE modem with Snapdragon 820 that fits perfect with the US carrier networks. But related reports showed the Exynos 8890 with similar capabilities thus ruling out the speculations.
Expected Samsung Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge Release Date
Since we got Galaxy S7 on the expecting devices’ list, rumor mill has been active in full swing showing more and more before anything official comes out. Following the same now we got more leaks suggesting the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge release date is getting closer. You can judge Samsung is not going to leave off its ‘edgy’ concept with future Galaxy devices.
Samsung is sought previously to bring its next flagship by March but fresh reports based on leaked info show the company improving its management techniques. Thus with an improved procedure Samsung is likely to bring the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge much earlier than expected. It is also not the first time that we are set to get Samsung flagships before expected dates. Galaxy Note 5 was also about three weeks early than the predicted dates.
Apart from being the next high-end flagship for Samsung, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge model got several reasons of attraction. As we discussed above the Galaxy S7 is expected as Samsung’s first device to arrive with both native Exynos 8890 and the Snapdragon 820 chipset versions. With either chipset the Galaxy S7 will probably be the fastest among the members of the Galaxy family.
With high powered component under the hood the Galaxy S7 due is expected with large display. The casual Galaxy S7 is going to arrive with a 5.2inch flat display. The ‘Edgy’ version, the Galaxy S7 Edge will take on a 5.7-inch phablet size display with both sides of its display curved. In addition a high resolution camera is pointed out with Galaxy S7 but no details are out yet.
Following last year’s developments with the Galaxy S6, the new Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge are expected in February next year. This will be a little before the previously assumed date that was 1st of March.
