Samsung, the first major manufacturer that blended the features of tablet and smartphones into the Phablet, has announced to release its new Note 4 Phablet on October 17. This will be happening on the same day when Apple is going to launch its new-generation iPhone 6. The orders in US will start at AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile, on Friday.
The Korean electronics giant claimed to deliver with its new phablet, a refined experience along with the latest technology that is wanted by the customers into their smartphones. The company was first to create the category of large screen in the smartphone market and now with its Galaxy Note 4 it has prepared to come forward with its fourth generation smartphone.
With the early release of Galaxy Note 4 Samsung has ensured its entrance in the market before any other brand, specially the Apple. It has also made a direct shot at Apple by promising that anyone who orders a Note 4 by Oct 16, a day before its release, would be given a trade-in value of US$200 for any smartphone.
Galaxy Note 4 will be there with 2.7 GHz quad-core processor sporting Snapdragon 805 SoC. The RAM memory on the new Phablet is 3GB, while the internal storage space is 32 GB with support for extra 128GB of extendable memory. It might prove to be better than the iPhones in terms of memory and its support to microSD card. It also supports LTE Cat 6 with connectivity options of NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, and WiFi 802.11. Its battery is among the largest in the phablets with 3,200 mAh power storage capacity.
Samsung made its Galaxy Note 4 a premium category smartphone with a reasonable and comparatively less price. It also shows that it is addressing the potential issue before releasing the phablet, which might reduce the market share later. It has released an update for its software to improve the life of its battery and give the system stability. The 36MB small size OTA update was released with the firmware number XXU1ANJ4.
After the release of Galaxy Note 4 on October 17, the owners can easily download the software update. For updating the software users should follow the settings, where they can update the software in the about phone option. After the update your Phablet will get ready for an improved battery life and overall stability.
The Phablet market has never been so big as recently the phablet fans had very few choices of the large-sized smartphone and the best was only the Samsung’s Galaxy Note. The company had done remarkable effort as its large screen devices that went against the views and expectation of the tech critics. Customers showed a surprising interest in the big screen Galaxy Note which took a short time to get the top position among the phablet series.
Despite the funny jokes about the large phones, the consumers didn’t mind to carry them and this made many others including the Apple to accept this success by following the Phablet market.
