Samsung’s next smartwatch will include NFC for mobile payments

Samsung Pay is among the hot topics now a days as the success of mobile payment system attracted not only the Google but also the Korean Giant. After recent reports of Samsung pay being introduced in the Galaxy device now the reports suggest that the next Samsung smartwatch may also be used as the payment device.

The upcoming smartwatch by the Samsung will be on the shelves with NFC support that will enable it to connect the supposed payment terminals which Samsung will use for its payment system. The announcement of the smartwatch with NFC support was made on Monday in a report out through officials. Acceding to the report the smart watch will be available in the markets this year, probably in the second half of the year.

The Samsung payment system was announced in March which is initially supposed for the customers in the US and the Korean markets. Though there have been many rumors and leaks but very limited details are out yet by the official sources. Also the payment service is expected initially with selected partners.

The NFC connectivity on the Samsung smartwatch will also give it many other advantages but primarily it is sought in connection with the Samsung pay. This is also a big move by the Samsung against the key competitor Apple. Apple has announced its Apple Watch with Apple pay recently alongside its new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Apple also uses the same NFC connectivity in its Apple Watch and iPhone for making mobile payment with Apple Pay.

Google has also introduced its own payment system at the recent I/O event held last month. The Google Payment system, named the Android Pay will also go through the large number of Android smartphones as it been the tradition of Google with its Android OS.
