Sony at MWC 2016: What will it bring at its press conference

The MWC 2016 is about to kick off this week in Barcelona where much anticipated devices from the key manufacturers are going to show off. Sony has been reported among the manufacturers gearing up to launch their devices at the event. But unlike Samsung which has hinted the arrival of its next Galaxy devices weeks before, Sony has been silent until now. A teaser is released by Sony suggesting company’s press event scheduled for February 22, at MWC 2016.

The Sony teaser is all about the press conference which it is going to hold on the first day of the MWC 2016. Like Samsung’s teaser about the upcoming Galaxy devices, a day before MWC, Sony also restricted the teaser to the event date without discussing anything about the upcoming devices. The video teases the Sony press conference with a familiar mathematical riddle which ends up showing February 22, opening day of MWC 2016.

Sony Xperia C6

Though the teaser and the invitation sent for the event have fixed the Sony press conference at MWC but for the details about the company’s plans we are bound to rely on the speculations. Going back to the Sony track which it has followed in past MWC events we can get an idea about the company’s moves at this year’s event. There have been some rumors suggesting the upcoming Sony devices during the MWC including the Sony Xperia C6.

Considering the past MWCs Sony has never disappointed the aspiring users of its devices. The keynotes on previous MWC included company’s Xperia flagship devices, tablets and other mid-range offerings. Sony however has been more inclined to FCC than the MWC for its major announcements. Sony introduced its Xperia Z1, Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z5 device at last IFA. The company is reported to keep a low track for this year with no major device reported as yet.
