Sony Xperia Z lineup finally gets Firmware Update of Android Lollipop

Sony Xperia Z lineup has recently begun receiving new firmware updates. After updating the Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3 last weeks, the process is still underway as many remaining models are listed to get the updates. The company is now moving forward to introduce updates for these listed devices.

Among the most recent devices to get the updates are, the Xperia Z, Xperia ZR, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z Ultra phablet. After updates you will find the same 5.0.2 version of the Android Lollipop but with certain additions alongside many demanded fixes. Many have missed the nice and useful feature named as ‘close all buttons’. With the current updates now you will get this feature back. With this addition now you will find the ‘close all button’ in the active menu from where you can close all active apps with a single touch.

The updates will also fix many bugs and provide enhancements to many other useful features. For instance, the issues encountered while moving apps to micro-SD card are considered in the updates. It is now made easier to move apps from internal to external memory.

Certain issues with the LED notification are also fixed in the updates. It was reported by many users that the phones indicate no services while having normal network coverage. Its look screen notifications and other setting are also improved with more options. To avail the Android lollipop lock screen notifications along with other customized settings you need to unblock you devices as per server policies.

Android Lollipop Material design is also improved with guest mode and multi profile options. You can set multiple profiles for different users. Also there is a guest mode which restricts access to apps. Along with these the modes are now applied across the user interface.
