The competition between giants is losing its grip on the top charts as Chinese smartphone makers are strengthening their positions. In the extremely dynamic market of smartphones it has been a tough job for all the key makers to hold their position on the top charts. And now with the rush of the very dynamic Chinese smartphone makers, the charts are really reshuffling.
The listing of top 2015 smartphone makers shows the phenomena very openly. On the base of the statistics in first quarter of this year, the smartphone market witnessed a big upset as Microsoft and Sony were kicked out of the top 10 smartphone makers. Both renowned smartphone makers have their big launches in the market but unlike their fame the emerging Chinese makers have pushed them out of the chart.
On the top 10 chart, Apple remains the only renowned brand with its big and expensive devices. Apart from the Apple the rest of the positions are occupied by the Asian smartphone manufacturers consisting mostly Chinese makers. For instance, among the 10 smartphone makers 9 are based in Asia while 7 of these top are Chinese companies.
China based companies like Vivo showed enough smartness to make their way on the charts through their premium devices. Vivo handsets provide high quality audio along with other nice features.
Nokia handsets, now taken over by Microsoft, have once been the rulers in the market. Following the Nokia the Korean giant Samsung also ruled the market with its big screen devices. And apart from all, Apple regains a prominent position in the market which is still preserved.
While Microsoft and Sony are kicked out of the leading Apple and Samsung are still present in the top competition. Where Samsung has targeted a bigger market with its latest Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and Galaxy Note 4, Apple is mostly concerned to the high end smartphone users. This may keep both in the top but still many other big breakthroughs are expected by the Chinese makers or atleast this is what the top 2015 smartphone makers list tells us.
