Recently, Ultimate Ears, a popular Bluetooth speaker company announced that it is updating its lineup of speakers to adding Siri and Google Now integration. With this updated feature, users will be able to access their music directly from their Ultimate Ears speaker. This makes it a lot easier to change songs, artists, and more.
Users can now easily access Siri or Google Now by simply tapping the Bluetooth button on their Ultimate Ears speaker and telling their corresponding voice assistant what they would like to hear. The update works exactly the same as activating the voice assistant with your device, except now you don’t have to actually be right next to your smartphone.
“Music lovers can now truly stay in the moment, by playing their favorite song from the middle of the pool or even while diving off a cliff with their UE speaker in hand. No matter how wet, muddy or wild the situation, with Siri and Google Now voice integration on Ultimate Ears BOOM 2 and Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM, fans will no longer need to pick up their phone to play DJ. Now, they can just say it to play it.” -Charlotte Johns, general manager of Ultimate Ears.
This feature specifically works with the UE BOOM 2 and the UE MEGABOOM. With the updated support for Siri and Google Now, the Ultimate Ears speakers are now capable of executing any command that Siri and Google Now are capable of. For example, sending text messages, checking the weather, and so much more.
The Ultimate Ears Boom 2 is one of the best Bluetooth speakers on the market. The MEGABOOM is also highly praised by many tech reviewers when it was unveiled a year ago.In order to use Google Now or Siri via your UE BOOM 2 or MEGABOOM speakers, you will need to download the latest version of your speaker’s app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store when it becomes available. The integration app for Siri and Google Now is expected to be available at respective app stores very soon.
