The XDA Developers forum is the largest, and undoubtedly the most popular Developer forum out there. The XDA is now stepping into the hardware market by developing a customizable smartphone. The forum recently announced that it intends to launch a highly customizable Labphone with top-notch specifications.
The Labphone will include high-end specifications and features. The device will be powered by Snapdragon 820 chip set with a quad-core CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU. It will feature a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display which will be protected by Gorilla Glass 4. The device will be equipped with 4GB of DDR4 RAM.
It will provide better application-holding capabilities than any other smartphone. The XDA Labphone will be able to hold 6 more apps than any other average smartphone with 4 GB RAM. It will also support up to 32GB of internal storage expansion.
The rear camera will include OIS 2.0. but apart from that it will be similar to the one found on the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5S. The front camera will be 8 mega pixels. The smartphone will sport a huge removable battery cell of 4500mAH. The battery will include Quick Charge 3.0 which will enable it to fully charge in only 1 hour and 20 minutes. Wireless charging will also be available but it will require two and a half hours to top off the cell. Updates will hit the phone in less than 14 days after Nexus launches them into the market.
The device will feature sleek and durable design, and it will allow you to to experiment, customize and modify like no other device ever has. On the Antutu ranking benchmark, the Labphone got a respectable score 125,223. Other details related to the device will be revealed later on.
