Xiaomi Mi 5 will be released in February after Spring festival

Since the first leak has been out about the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 5, the uninterrupted follow-ups helped it is staying at the top in the rumor mill. Though we had the Mi Note and Mi Note pro added up in the Xiaomi portfolio in 2015 but the enthusiasm with the upcoming Mi 5 remained uncontested.

But now things seem getting real as we have confirmed hints about the release of Xiaomi Mi 5. According to the hints the Xiaomi Mi 5 will finally land in the hand of users by February. This emerged after a post on the Weibo account of the co-founder of the Xiaomi. The same account has been one of the key sources for official hints about Xiaomi devices.

As per the post of Liwan Jiang, the Xiaomi Mi 5 is ready for release after Spring Festival. As we know the Sprint Festival marks the beginning of Lunar New Year in China which, for this year, falls on February 8. Thus expending up the post, the Xiaomi Mi is going to make its first official appearance next month.

Besides the launch date, the Weibo post by Liwan Jiang also shows that the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 5 will be equipped with Snapdragon 820 SoC. Though the Xiaomi Mi5 has already been reported with the Snapdragon 820 SoC but it is the first official announcement yet. With Snapdragon 820 SoC the other specs on the Xiomi Mi5 are also expected to stay equally high.

The Xiaomi co-founder has refrained from mentioning other specs but we already have presumed spec sheet done for you. As per these details the Xiaomi Mi 5 is going to carry a 5.2inch QHD display. With the Snapdragon 820 SoC there will be 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. It is also suggested to be a powerful camera phone with 16megapixel camera on back and 13megapxiel on front.
