Xiaomi, which recently introduced its big screen phablet Mi Note, claims it sold out whole Mi Note stock in just 3 minutes in China. This is not the first time that Xiaomi claimed to sell its whole stock in a few minutes, earlier Xiamo made same announcement regarding Mi 3 as well.
Many speculations have started to surround the story, if Xiaomi is deliberately announcing such claims and without any background. Many believe such claims as marketing propaganda and think it is Xiaomi’s marketing tactic. This is also to be noted importantly that Xiaomi did not reveal the exact figures of units sold in three minutes time neither did Xiaomi announced it from its official account.
On the other hand, the tech giant Apple always provides the exact numbers when it claims such achievements and share it officially. Similarly Nokia also claimed two weeks ago that it sold out all the stock of Nokia N1, the Android Lollipop tablet in few minutes in China but Nokia provided the exact figures as well.
On the other hand, we should not forget that Xiaomi is selling its brand in very high dense populated countries like China and India. Nokia also claimed to sell Nokia N1 in China. The other factor which we cannot neglect is selling through internet, which has helped Xiaomi fulfill its achievements.
The new Xiaomi Mi Note comes with outclass specifications and is expecting to give nice competition to its rivals Apple and Samsung. With 5.7 inch screen size and 1080p display, the Mi Note is powered by 801 Snapdragon processor and 3GB RAM. It has 13 MP camera on rear and a 4 MP front camera. In terms of battery, it has a 3000mAh battery and supports 16GB of storage.
The main reason behind Xiaomi’s success is its quality phones for low prices. The Mi Note will roughly cost $370. Despite no exact figures were revealed about today’s sale, some 220 million Mi Note have been pre-ordered and it will not be available before Feb 3 next week.
