The ability of the Xiaomi MIUI to run on all devices with its many user friendly features has earned much for Xiaomi. However, there is a feature which is reported recently by its users as annoying. It allows large files to be downloaded only over Wi-Fi. Therefore if you are using mobile data you may not be able to download a lot of files in first attempt. And the most irksome point is that the features are activated by default thus you can’t turn it off directly.
The feature is basically aimed at saving your data package from switching large file download to Wi-Fi. But the inability of users to turn it off when they want files to be downloaded makes it unfavorable for its users. With a handy switch the features might not affect the users as much but due to its default activation it becomes a little complicated. But still following a few steps you can get rid of the issue.
To solve the issue you need to go to the setting menu and Downloads app where you can find the setting for data limit. Tap the setting options and you will set mobile data limit to different levels. Actually the software by default set the limit on file size to download over mobile data. Thus what you need to do is to remove the limit over the file size. As you can find the different limit slides go to unlimited and try to download a file you will not face the issue anymore.
