Thanks to Apple Store, gaming on iPhone and iPad is the easiest thing to do. But nothing stands against the real PlayStation if you are a gaming geek. Most fascinating gaming experience on your Apple device will prove childish against even a classic one. Thus if you are among these gaming geeks you would probably look forward to have the PlayStation experience on your device.
If you are an iOS user and are ready to go just a little deeper with your gaming zeal than many things are possible for you. What it asks you at the first place is a jailbroken iOS device and secondly the technique to rip PS ROMs. For the rest, we are here to tell you the procedure step by step. The process works with the iOS 9 or 9.0.2 versions.
Step 1: On your jailbroken iOS 9/9.0.2 device, open Cydia and go to ‘Add Sources’ and put buildbot.libretro.com/repo/cydia repository. As completed, return to Cydia home.
Step 2: On Cydia home, search ‘RetroArch’ and as you find RetroArch (iOS 9), install it. After installation is completed, get back to Cydia home again.
Step 3: Now search and install ‘Automatic SSH.’ You will need them to place ROMs to your iOS 9 device.
Step 4: Launch ‘RetroArch’ and go to Online Updater.
Step 5: Here update the GLSL Shaders option, Overlays, Databases, Autoconfig Profiles, Assets and Core Info Files one by one and wait for each to complete.
Step 6: After taping Core Updater you will find a long list, tap PlayStation or PCSX ReARMed. Get back to app, tap Load Core and select PlayStation. This will complete the installation process.
Step 7: Now Connect your device to PC viva SSH/iFile’s Web Server.
Step 8: Get ROMs of your desired games from web with either SSH, which you can obtain using the SSH shell.
Step 9: Copy ROMs to directory /var/mobile/documents on your device.
It is done here, launch the RetroArch and load ROMs by navigating to above directory and enjoy playing your favorite PlayStation games on iOs 9/9.0.2 running iPhone or iPad.
