Samsung proved itself very sharp adopting the emerging technologies effectively in its smartphones business. The Samsung Pay has been another addition in the Samsung services that follows the growing attention of the smartphone users to the newly introduced payment system. Following Apple’s victorious announcement of its Apple Pay alongside its new iOS 8 and iPhone 6, many others have started considering the service.

The announcement of the Samsung Pay Payment service was made by Samsung few months earlier when it grounded its well recognized Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones. The Samsung Pay was just announced then with a promise of early launch. The date for its launch was not announced at all but initially Samsung indicated a release date for this summer. But no scheduled date yet announced for expected release the Samsung Pay. Therefore we may not be able to use it earlier than September.

To activate the Samsung Pay it requires your authorization for the payment. Which is done by scanning your fingerprint on the payment enabled Samsung Galaxy device. The payment system works with NFC connectivity and the MST to connect your device with the payment terminal. To finish your transaction you need to bring your device to a NFC or MST supported terminal then press your finger on your device’s screen.

It’s a matter of seconds to complete transaction using the Samsung Pay. Right now there is only the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge to use the payment system when it starts but the upcoming flagships are also expected with payment capability.
