Sony’s Xperia X Range with Xperia X, Xperia XA, and Xperia Performance

Sony's Xperia X Range with Xperia X, Xperia XA, and Xperia Performance

Sony Mobile, yesterday, unveiled X series. This is for the first time that the Xperia brand got introduction to the “X” series Smartphones. The series is itself a new way of futuristic communication, connected devices, and detailed interaction with the world. The devices launched are personalized and intelligent products with the ability to empower.

Sony Xperia launched three different Smartphones in this head. The first Xperia X handsets are Xperia X, Xperia X Performance and Xperia XA. All the three headsets combine the trademark features of Xperia in a perfect blend together. Let’s take a detailed look at the improved specifications and offerings of the new X range.

Xperia X Series Camera:

Xperis series has always been known for its camera. The new Xperia X series takes that experience to whole new level. The camera of the three new devices allows shooting in sharp focus. Those shots which take place in a blink of an eye are commendable.

Xperia X and Xperia X Performance have novel Predictive Hybrid Autofocus that has been developed by the intelligent Sony’s αTM camera Engineers team. The basic reason for this camera is that it lets you focus on your main subject and then predicts its motion. This way you can capture the action in perfect focus and without any blur.

Xperia X Series Battery Performance:

The new and advanced features of this range require a great and massive battery to pair with. The Xperia X series consists of the company’s smart battery management system. As per this technology, the devices will be able to deliver up to two days of battery life.

Not only is the battery a winner, but a single charge will be able to give you a long life span regardless of the heavy usage. What’s more is that Xperia X series has twice the capacity as the Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology and Sony’s smart battery management system.

Xperia X, Xperia X Performance and Xperia XA will be available in White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold and Rose Gold colors with a range of matching Style Covers.

Now let’s take a detailed look at the functioning and the performance of the Xperia X range:

SONY XPERIA X PERFORMANCE:

The first and the most important device of the range the “Sony Xperia X” has a perfect aluminum body with round edges. The weight and the feel of the device are compact with an easy-to-hold grip. If we compare the design with the Xperia Z series, then there are not many changes in the design and physical features.

Sony has refused to continue with the glass back and has taken a leap at 5 inch 1080p display. As for the camera, the handset is capable of capturing images with the 23-megapixel main camera. There is also a physical camera key for the controls. The key works to focus when you press lighter, while, a hard press will allow taking a shot. On the other hand, selfie camera is capable of 13-megapixels shoots.

On the processor front, the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor is paired with 3GB of RAM. The latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Sony’s light user interface offers you number of Sony apps. The storage is 32GB but expandable microSD card offers storage up to 200GB. You also get a fingerprint sensor on the lozenge-shaped power button on the right spine.

The Sony Xperia X is IP65 and IP68 rated. The battery is 2,700Ah, which is good. The charging port on the bottom is Micro USB, but it does support quick charging. The X Performance also has dual front-facing speakers. The noise performance, as always, is par excellence. All in all, the overall performance and work of the device is commendable for a mid-range Sony Xperia Smartphone.

SONY XPERIA X:

The second part of this series and the middle genius is the Xperia X. The Smartphone is bit smaller than the X performance but is durable and tough. However, the two devices are so similar that you cannot tell them or differentiate them apart.

From the display to the camera, fingerprint sensor and the other audio and general options are similar to the X Performance. The main difference between the two is that the processor is Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 with smaller 2,620mAh battery. You get no certifications as for the dust and the water-proofing too. The X also has a slightly polished, different back with very minute weight and other changes.

SONY XPERIA XA:

The full stop to the X range, for now, is the Sony Xperia XA. The new processor in the Smartphone is little different from the sibling phones. A new MediaTek Helio MT6755 processor, with 2GB of RAM, and a 720p display are on board.

The XA is smaller than the other two Smartphones with very thin edge bezels when the display is held in portrait. In this device, you get the mainstream Sony round silver button with sadly no fingerprint sensor. The smaller device of the range also has a small 2,300mAh battery. The cameras in question are 13-megapixels and 8-megapixels. The XA offers a sole speaker. With slim and artistic body, this device has all the perfect features of a mid-ranger. Sony takes edge on the Smartphone world with this device.

FINAL WORD

Sony has launched the new series keeping budget in mind. However, the teeny tiny changes between the X and X Performance did not justify the existence of three Smartphones at once. It is very difficult to differentiate the two. However, what’s fresh is the diversion from Sony’s signature hard, angular design and an end to the era of glass backs’.

The Xperia X range has very comfortable sizes with easy grip and comfortable holding. The luxurious size along with the soft feel makes these phones the most comfortable. In the end, all depends upon the price of the Smartphones!
