Experience Coachella Music Festival Virtually with VR app

American Music Festival Coachella

American Music Festival Coachella was sold-out and a total hit for two weeks. All the credits for the hit and the houseful go to the pre-sale before the announcement of the spring range and the smooth completion of the over-whelming general sale in January. No doubt the festival was worth witnessing for. Who wouldn’t love to attend such smashing events? However, if you missed the fest due to some reasons or “money” was the actual reason, we may have a solution for you.

To experience the magnitude of the festival and the diversity of the shows held, you don’t have to load YouTube videos for the fun. The mighty VR is here to solve your problems. Just revealed today, Coachella has collaborated with a VR event company Vantage.tv for providing its fans and users with the VR experience for the first time.

The eligible festival attendees with the standard ticket will get a “special VR headset”. The headset is much similar to the standard branded cardboard device. If you are one of those who are not attending the event and already own a handset, you can download the Coachella VR app for iOS or Android to access content before, during and after the Festival’s two-weekend run.

Coachella’s decision of broadcasting the event in Virtual Reality is worth appreciating for. All the internet community which solely relied on live-streaming or uploaded videos to watch the festival can now have a take on it virtually.

VR supporters and followers had already reported that the “concert experience” on VR would be very significant for targeting the audience. Those interested to see, can quickly download some performances from different bands to feel more close and real to the festival.

It would be important to note how much of Coachella will we be able to experience virtually. The app already shows the 360-degree panoramic views of the festival grounds. But it would be real fun to experience all that this festival has to offer from the couch of your living room.

You can download the Coachella’s app for Cardboard on iOS as well as Android. The app will soon be available for the Samsung Gear VR as well as the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
