Ask any iPhone user, what is biggest issue with your iPhone and almost everyone will complain about the battery life of his/her iPhone. Although we can increase the battery life of our iPhone with some simple tricks and tweaks but we have an app now to monitor iPhone battery life from the Apple Watch. Although the Apple Watch requires to connect with the iPhone (iPhone 5 or later running iOS 8.2 at least) and helps receiving notifications and calls directly on it without touching the iPhone, it does not tell us any information about the iPhone battery life.

But ‘We have an app for this’. Tom Etminan has created an app for the Apple Watch called Battery Monitor, which will let you monitor the iPhone battery life from the Apple Watch. You will have to install the app and enable it from the Glances (A unique feature of the Apple Watch).
To enable the monitoring of iPhone battery life on the Apple Watch with Battery Monitor
1) Install the Battery Monitor app for the Apple Watch.
2) Go to the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
3) Go to My Watch > Glances >> Add Battery Monitor.
Once you add the Battery Monitor app to the Glances, it will start functioning and providing you the updates about the iPhone battery life on your Apple Watch. Like when the battery goes down below 20% it will warn you. Similarly when your phone is charged fully it will tell you the same as well. The colorful glances of the Apple Watch will keep you updated about the battery life of your iPhone.
This cool and very useful app is free to download for now, and the developer has committed to add more functions to the app as well which can be paid features. But one wonders, the company which focuses so much on details, forgot about adding such a basic but very useful feature to its expensive watch? ;)
