The first ever Android running BlackBerry smartphone, the BlackBerry Priv comes with some stunning additions on its design and display. Currently the device is getting ready for shipment that is set for November 6. There was an early preview available on Telus using which a user shared details about using the Productivity Edge on the BlackBerry Priv at CrackBerry Forums.
Using Productivity Edge on the BlackBerry Priv is simple, easy and very useful to increase your phone’s productivity.
Telus stands among the carriers to sell the BlackBerry Priv in the native Canadian market. To Show off the Android flavor on the Priv, Telus put it temporarily on online stimulator and now the link is down unfortunately. Here we got some nice snaps out of the same simulator. And the certain images are detailed enough to show some nice areas on the BlackBerry Priv Productivity Edge.
As we know about the BlackBerry Priv the smartphone comes with a curve display. This curve concept opens ways for some useful features. The so called ‘Productivity Edge’ is therefore the name where BlackBerry puts its expertise over the same curved display.
The Priv comes with an AMOLED display of 5.4inch with resolution of 1440x2560pixels and curved sides. This is quite similar to the curved display that we have observed in the Galaxy S6 Edge and its larger variant the S6 Edge+. But unlike the Galaxy S6 Edge devices BlackBerry has made the display curved on both sides.
Thus with the completely curved concept you will get some additional options on the BlackBerry Priv. This is made possible through the Productivity Edge. With the feature you will be enabled to get updated with notifications, alerts, and messages and so on with just a single swipe.
Besides the curved display and the productivity edge the BlackBerry Priv is set to get a QWERTY sliding keyboard. This makes its design quite compact but you will hopefully love it. In addition its Snapdragon 808 processor, 3 GB M, 32GB storage and 18megapixel rear camera turns it into a perfect package.
