Google has brought some considerable improvements into the Google Now over the time to make it up to the mark against key personal assistant apps like Siri and Cortana. The interesting and useful commands on the Google Now enable it to help you out in various situations. And now Google is set to extend its scope with ninie fresh commands.
A new update brings nine new and interesting voice commands to the Android version of Google Now. With new commands you can turn the flashlight on without touching your device, just say ‘OK Google, turn on the flashlight.’ You can turn your device’s Wi-Fi, Bluetooth on or off, just use the commands ‘Turn Wi-Fi/Bluetooth on’ or ‘Turn Wi-Fi/Bluetooth off.’ The command will take you to connectivity toggles where you can turn your device’s Wi-Fi or Bluetooth on or off.
The new commands also work for messages, with the command ‘Read My messages’ you can view your last five messages. Then you can select the message you want the Google Now to read out loud. If you want to open an app without swiping through the app drawer here is a command too. After saying ‘OK Google, Open (name of the app),’ Google Now will take you right to your desired app.
This works for many key apps, for instance you can command Google Now as ‘Open Facebook’ or ‘Open Twitter’ and you are right there on the Facebook/Twitter. The same process also works to open a particular website. Just say the command with website address and Google Now will copy it right on your device browser to load the site.
In short Google Now has become more interactive with interesting voice commands and somewhat accurate responses. You can get camera ready with the command ‘open camera,’ while ‘Play Music’ command will take you to radio option in Google Play Music. You can also ask Google Now to make a call, send a text or set reminder.
