Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have been in the news since they saw the light of the day. With substantial improvements and fantastic new features, both the devices are claimed to be included in the industry maestro. The new Smartphone have also been claimed to be one of the most durable and appropriately water-proof devices ever created.
Like always, as soon as the experts got their hand on the newly launched device they pass it through different tortures to check its credibility. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge both went through the water test and the latter even had to face the burn test. Let’s see how well these Smartphones fared!
Starting with the underwater test, both the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are both IP68-certified. It means that both of them can withstand being in the water for a proper amount of time. The founding company, Samsung, has said that the devices can dunk up to five feet underwater and can survive for about half an hour. You will get the red alert after the mentioned time and depth!
Now, we have proof to check the Samsung claims. We know that those first pre-ordered first have got their hands on the Samsung flagships for this year. And, we also knew that as soon as the people get their hands-on the devices they will pass them through any sort of torture they want. Coming to the waterproof test, we saw that not only two Galaxy S7 beauties gallantly faced the water. But as claimed by the company, the shots were taken by the headsets were both mesmerizing. The quality of the video recorded by theS7 Edge was thumbs-up.
The second part of the surfaced tests is checking the durability of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The famous Youtube expert, JerryRigEverything, passed the flagships through the torture tests. The tests included scratch test and burn test. The scratch test was both performed on the front and the back glass, while, a lighter was used to ignite the screen. In the end, the device was also forced to bend in half. Too much for durability!
The tempered glass screen withheld the deep scratches up to a seven on the Mohs Hardness Scale. This simply means that the keys or coins in your bags or pockets won’t be able to destroy the polish of phone.
The flames weren’t sufficient to affect the performance of Edge, too. All might to the perfectly built aluminum body and the induction of internal liquid cooling. The repeated bending can break the waterproof seal, but it won’t do eternal damage. This is all from the Samsung flagship torture segment. We will tell you more when we will get to know more. Stay tuned!
