Google nexus 6, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 or Apple iPhone 6, Which is the best

No doubt it was the Samsung which started the race of big screens that was adopted by all the players; among those the last one was the Apple who was among the key critic of the bigger size category of smart phones calling them ‘seem like bricks’. But the Smartphone users surprised the enterprise world with their adaptation of the big smartphone. And now all including Apple say ‘bigger is better’.

One step farther, now it’s time for the phablets. These smartphones come with even bigger than 5-inch screens. They’re all fast, powerful, and high-resolution with amazing features and functionality over the big and colorful screens. Here we are comparing the three leaders, the founder, Samsung, the companion Google and the biggest competitor, Apple. All are now in to the market with their flagship big screens. Let’s compare some of the key areas of the flagship smartphones of these three being, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Google Nexus 6 and the iPhone 6.

Samsung the starter

For Samsung the market has evolved. The big is the new normal and almost everyone holds it. The new Galaxy Note 4 is the flagship phablet of Samsung. In its bigger smartphone models what Samsung figure out is just about doing a few things well and not worrying so much about the rest. Among the nicer smartphones, the Galaxy Note 4 is improved in its formula. The Galaxy Note Series has now switched from the plastic to a beautiful reinforced aluminum shell.

Google the initial competitor

Google kept the competition going on with the Samsung, when even the Apple was out of the race. It has now revealed it flagship bigger screen and more powerful smartphone the Nexus 6, after months of rumors, leaks, and speculation. The new Nexus 6 follows the line of its Motorola design being essentially a giant Moto X. The smartphone code named ‘Shamu’ is massive and just less than 160mm large.

iPhone 6 the new comer

For Apple it was not less than a quest, after initially being out of the race. It comes to fill many of the specialties among its specs to be on the top and what it produced in its early models is no doubt the answer by Apple.

Its iPhone 6 is the flagship launch in front of the increasing popularity of larger smartphones from Samsung and other rivals. It comes with the bigger iPhone 6 and even bigger iPhone 6 Plus. Both to create a combine market that ranges from the smartphones with just big screen and the bigger screen phablets. Launched last month the new iPhone 6 and its bigger sibling, the iPhone 6 Plus are said to be launched in 115 countries by the end of the year.

THE KEY AREAS OF DIFFERENCES

The competition is focused on some kay areas where all the three giants are working hard with their usual launches and upgrades, here we would focus these areas and what each of the three vender have to display to their customers.

RACE FOR BETTER DISPLAY

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has got a 5.7-inche, AMOLED display with 2560×1440 2K resolution and 518 pixels per inch. It’s amazing without any complain though as such a big display might sense to be hard over the battery but actually is not the case.

Google crossed the mark with its Nexus 6 with a 5.96 screen which is almost the six inch. This is truly huge, the smartphone that truly pushed the Nexus 6 into the phablet territory. It also got the 2560 x 1440 2K resolution that has placed it into the 2K club. It got 493 pixels per inch, lesser than the Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4. It has also the AMOLED panel to company with Note 4 for in vivid colours and true blacks.

Apple doesn’t remained behind, except the iPhone 6 with 4.7-inch display which is relatively less but the iPhone 6 plus with a 5.5-inch screen is into the range of phablets. The new iPhones have resolution of 1334×750 pixels. The iPhone 6 comes with the same 326ppi pixel density as the iPhone 5s but the iPhone 6 Plus is topped with 401dpi display. To cover the best of the screen it has dubbed the new screen ‘Retina HD’. With this the iPhone 6’s display give a nice display which is bright, crisp and its content also appears on top of the glass rather looking beneath it. It has also made some adjustments to its viewing angles and the contrast ratio that have created significant differences in its overall display.

WHAT IS INSIDE, THE INTERFACE

Both Galaxy Note 4 and Google Nexus 6 are running over the android iOS having almost the same interface with some of their own additions.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is running the Android KitKat. It has some unique features with the new user interface, offering the ability to resize apps over the screen. While the Nexus 6 comes with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop with a stunning user interface looks, battery optimizations, security enhancements and much more.
Unlike Samsung and Google, Apple with its Own and distinct iOS 8 has the advantage over the others, though it also limits its options. With its new launched package along with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus it has upgraded the iOS from iOS 7 to iOS 8, therefore the new iPhone 6 runs over a new and upgraded iOS 8. Its new iOS give it an amazing look and some competent features.

BATTERY

Samsung’s has claimed that it has the fast charging and long lasting battery. It is also working well, with its fast charging it goes from zero percent to 50 percent in 30 minutes and takes less than two hours to reach cent percent. There is also the ultra-power saving mode which is the magical battery saver to keep the Note 4 to always remain on.

That huge screen of Nexus 6 is a big load on its battery but it has managed with a large 3220mAh battery along with more efficient processor and Android Lollipop’s battery optimizations.
The iPhone 6 comes with an 1810mAh non-removable battery, a little larger than the iPhone 5S, but then it needs it to supply the bigger and brighter screen.

CAMERA

Samsung leads here with a 16-megapixel camera in Galaxy Note 4. There is a “Wide Selfie” mode along with many other ways to capture selfie. It can shoot 4K video, time-lapse video and slow-motion video.
Like the Moto X the Nexus 6’s camera comes with the attractive circular LED ring flash. It has a 13MP camera which is smaller than Samsung but higher than Apple’s new camera.

Apple has made some notable improvements in its camera. Though it has the same specifications with a 8Mp rear camera, True Tone dual-LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 1.5 microns pixels. But it has all-new sensors with new autofocus, advanced face detection and digital image stabilization features.

PRICES

Without contract the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 cost $840 that means it’s not that cheap, it is available on contract at $64 per month for two years. Google Nexus, unlocked prices have been set at $649. While the Apple products doesn’t come cheap, SIM-free the 16GB iPhone 6 Plus comes at $749. Its 32GB variant for both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is at $849.

Conclusion

While all three products are bigger in screen and have better features as compared to their predecessors, it is the end user which will decide in next six months which product will become the market leader.
