Apple iPhone 6

Selling the same phone over four years lead the Apple to the heights of profit but the time has been shifting towards the powerful and bigger screen smartphones and at this time again Apple was not going to miss the market. It enters the big screen market with iPhone 6, and even bigger iPhone 6 Plus and announced to launch Apple Watch as well. Among the couple here is the smaller iPhone 6 that was the one to addresses the issue of extra size of the new iPhones.

The iPhone 6 got the 4.7-inch screen that is smaller than iPhone 6 Plus but bigger than iPhone 5. The major talking point for the iPhone 6 is no doubt its screen size but it has much more in its brand new super-slim design. An improved processor and the new iOS 8 are the enough fields to take the new iPhone high on the success charts of the market.

THE SUPER-SLIM DESIGN

The basic change in the design is evident with the soft curves body of iPhone 6. Except some of the plastic detailing on the rear it is all glass and metal. Though by a long time the square design and diamond cut edges have been the striking look, now it has shifted to more rounded edges.

The iPhone 6 is designed smoothly to look like a single piece of metal and glass that is cute and fused together. With superb balance and the rounded smooth edges it is comfortable in the hand regardless the orientation while being 6.9mm thick and just 129g of wait, it feel sleek and strong in the palm.

With change in its shape the buttons are also moved. First the power button is made easy to access by moving it from top of the phone to the right edge, above the SIM tray. Still in many other respects of layout it has things same as the previous iPhones. The volume buttons are there on the left. At the bottom there is the 3.5mm headphone jack, the lightning port and the speaker holes.

Over its super slim design the camera is slightly raised from the body to ensure the image quality. But it remains incorporated well with the design so it doesn’t look odd like many of the other phones in the market. The small edge only feels when the phone is held in landscape while its safety case will easily hide it.

Apple with release of its each flagship iPhone has also boosted the processor. With its iPhone 5S, a year ago it brought the A7 processor and now with its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus it comes with the A8, while the new A8 packs 1.4GHz dual-core it’s not a huge boost-up with respect to the earlier A7 that is a 64-bit, 1.3GHz dual core.

Lack of micro SD card slot has been the bad things on iPhones that requires extra pay for extra storage. The same follows in iPhone 6 where if you want to increase the storage for your music, apps, photos and movies it will charge you up front.

At the face value it got the same camera as it was in the earlier iPhone 5S, though it is no doubt among the best smartphone cameras. iPhone 6 has the camera with 6 8-megapixel 1/3-inch sensor and 1.5µm pixel size.

It has a better brightness and colour accuracy with less apparent noise. Its True-Tone LED flash can be used at low light that changes the colour if flash to provide accurate skin tones.

The iPhone 6 has the Slow motion function of the earlier iPhone 5S that shot 120FPS videos which looks fantastic. The same function in iPhone 6 shots at 240FPS 720p which will make the action scenes looking cooler.

SOUND QUALITY

One of the areas of specialties for the new iPhone 6 is its quality speakers. Over its speakers it have the advantage over the flagship smartphones of the Samsung and LG. Its speakers are louder than its competitors.

The new iOS has an improved and interactive notification area which let you you respond to messages, invites and more without opening the articular app. The notification area emerges when the banner notification is dragged down. Apple already had the best of keyboards in its iPhones, but it goes farther with certain upgrades in the keyboard with new iOS. Now its Keyboard comes with predicted words, with this feature it will pay attention on your writing style and begins predicting the words and phrases you use more. Also the Apple has allowed the third-party keyboards in its new iOS.

Health

It has a new health oriented app called Health which works as hub for all the data relating to your body and health. Currently it will not be working automatically and you have to input the data yourself. This might be a temporary as there have been some security issues which offloaded the HealthKit apps from the Store.

Continuity

With this function the new iOS is able to connect all the devices of Apple ecosystem. It lets you working on your iPhone 6, iPad or MacBook Air. This feature might be a little surprising initially, but it’s interesting that while you are playing on iPad or working on MacBook and suddenly you receive a calling.

Apple Pay

Apple surprised all its users with adding the NFC connectivity to three of its products. With this the three new devices the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch all be able to use the Apple Pay services. It enables them to pay online for products using their Apple devices and Touch ID.

iPhone 6 has been the high end smartphone of Apple, it’s prices with contract, in the US, are $199 for 16GB, $299 for 64GB and $399 for 128GB. While the off-contract prices are $649 for 16GB, $749 for 64GB and $849 for the 128GB model. The prices in Britain are at £539 for 16GB, £619 for the 64GB option and £699 for the 128GB version.

BATTERY LIFE

It is as slim as full of stamina, the iPhone 6 has a 1,810mAh non-removable battery, a little larger than the battery of iPhone 5S but smaller than the batteries of Samsung Galaxy S5 with the power of 2,800mAh and it’s another competitor the LG G3 with comes with a 3,000mAh battery. Its battery is good in recharge which takes about two hours to fill the battery.

The iPhone 6 covers all the features lacking in the last year’s iPhone 5S. With its boosted features it has been an excellent upgrade for the owners of iPhone 5.
