The leaked info surfaced on twitter suggesting the new Galaxy J1 (2016) with several upgrades as compared to its predecessor. The original Samsung Galaxy J1 is an entry-level device with 4.3inch display while the upcoming Galaxy J1 (2016) is expected with 4.5inch display and resolution of 480x800pixels.

With this minor addition to the display size the internal specs are also expected to get boosted. According to the leaked details the Galaxy J1 (2016) specifications suggest it is going to carry the Exynos 3457 chipset which is yet to be announced. With the Exynos 3457 chipset the Galaxy J1 (2016) will give its users a quad-core processing performance.

Though the original Galaxy J1 was also equipped with dual-core processing unit the upcoming model is going to carry more RAM powers. As the details suggest, the Galaxy J1 (2016) model is going to carry a 1GB RAM against the 512MB RAM on the Galaxy J1. The new Galaxy J1 (2016) is also going to carry Mali-T720 GPU against the Mali-T400 GPU on its predecessor. The original Galaxy J1 was made public in February 2015 the sequel is expected to arrive on its first anniversary.
