Samsung is showing a little hurry to update its latest and highly impressive devices one by one. Earlier it was the Galaxy Note 5 set for software updates and now we have the Galaxy S6 Edge+ updates available. As we have discussed both deices earlier, both carries some striking features. Thus following the first one the later is now ready with its first software update.
According to details the update including 138.14MB package. However not all devices are set for updates. First release is set for only unlocked device in Indian and European markets. Thus those out of India and Europe carrying locked Galaxy S6 Edge+ are put on hold for a while.
This would have been good to provide the updates to all of its users. But still the markets mentioned account for a considerable portion of users. Also the carrier variants devices are expected to get the updates soon.
The first update for the Galaxy S6 Edge+ comes with similar upgrades that were present in the Galaxy Note 5 updates. At the top you will get improvement on its battery powers. After updates you will get considerable battery usage improvements. Though the battery on the S6 Edge never been a weaker one but improvements are good to further improve it.
Other than the battery, there are some considerable enhancements in other areas too. For instance Samsung claims that the device’s call stability has been improved with the updates. This is however not a big addition as it has been good already with improved network options.
Samsung has also mentioned the device security to have got updated. You may get some additional options with more stability in security functions on the Galaxy S6 Edge+. Samsung is also expediting the process to bring the Android 6.0 Marshmallow to its key devices. We may get devices of Galaxy S6 and Note 5 family updated to Marshmallow in near future.
