Video: Slide hoverboard is the first one of its type in Action

You definetly have read about the hoverboard, have certainly seen them in action in atleast comics and if you have played Subway Surfer, you definitely are a big fan of the hoverboards. And the good news is hoverboards are no more fantasy but a real thing to enjoy. Lexus which introduced the concept of hoverboards has introduced a hoverboard naming it Slide hoverboard.

Slide hoverboard by Lexus is a skateboard-like personal travel device, or whatever you will like to say, and floats if not flies some inches above the ground and carrying you or someone else. Lexus introduced the concept of hoverboards a few months ago and now it has been introduced although not for sale for the time being.

To float above the ground, Slide hoverboard has some powerful magnets and superconductors which use the liquid nitrogen to cool the hoverboard while floating. Lexus first introduced the Slide in june but many claimed it was a fake marketing propaganda but now Lexus has come with a real hovreboard.

Although the hoverboards have been introduced, there are still a lot of limitations to bring it to the end users. The superconductors are known for long time having an ability to levitate but it requires a powerful magnetic force in the ground to keep the hoverboard floating on the ground. Lexus has built a skate park in Barcelona Spain where the Slide can be used.

Lexus did not disclose the cost of the project but the custom park with strong magnetic field and hoverboard itself are enough to give us the idea of the huge cost behind the project.

Although you cannot buy the Slide hoverboard at least for now but you can enjoy the video. What I love the most is the floating of it over the water.
