The popular protective feature of the Galaxy S5 with some others was dropped in the Galaxy S6. Following Samsung’s official unveiling a few days back, now we have a real time demonstration of the waterproof capabilities of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge and this Samsung Galaxy S7 unboxing video was made under water by T-Mobile.
As per the Samsung details the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge come with IP68 certification which enables both devices to function normally even 1.5-meter under water for up to 30 minuts. T-Mobile, the US carrier which is listed to sell both the new Samsung Galaxy flagships came up with a video to show the waterproof capability of Galaxy S7 and to draw more aspiring users to its network. The video in detail shows Galaxy S7 unboxing which takes place completely underwater.
Though this promotional video is not as such a strong instrument to gauge the performance, but it suggests that the Galaxy S7 behaves normally while unboxed under the water. With its normal features working underwater, you can pick a call, snap picture and even watch your favorite video in the bottom of your swimming pool.
The T-Mobile Product Manager who did the unboxing of Samsung Galaxy S7 underwater shares the first impression with the device. Though it is not possible to properly communicate using the device underwater but watching video is something that you will probably like.
T-Mobile is right now taking pre-order for both Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge with an infesting offer of free Netflix for one year. This will be an additional favor to the T-Mobile subscribers of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge as aspiring users are already set to get a free Gear VR unit by Samsung for pre-orders until March.
